In this second kiteboarding lesson you will learn kite flying with power! Taking it to the water to experience…

  • Body dragging - using the power of the kite to pull you through the water.
  • Upwind body-dragging - important exercise teaching you to retrieve your kiteboard after a crash without a kiteboard leash.
  • Water re-launching – re-launching a crashed kite from the water. Once you have mastered these kite flying skills you will be ready to use the kiteboard.

After completion of this kiteboarding lesson you will be certified to rent kitesurfing equipment from us so you can continue practicing your kite flying skills before your final kiteboarding lesson with the kiteboard, this will save you a lot of frustration and give you heaps more confidence having more time to bond with the kite.

What you will need to bring on your kiteboarding lesson?

Sunglasses are a must as you will be looking up at the kite a lot, a hat for sun protection, sunscreen and something to drink. Kitesurfing makes you thirsty!
If you are going in the water (lessons 2 + 3) you will need a towel, board shorts and a rash vest or a wetsuit if you have one.
If you are redeeming a kitesurfing gift voucher don’t forget to bring it with you.
