WHO IS IKO ?

International Kiteboarding Organisation. IKO promotes and develops safe kiteboarding worldwide in relationship with the industry and national organisations. IKO trains kitesurfing instructors providing a high level of teaching, with standards that are recognised and applied worldwide.

IKO KITEBOARDING COURSE

Combining kitesurfing lessons One, Two and Three at a total of 8hrs will bring you to a level of complete independence allowing you to practice safely on your own. The kitesurfing course can be completed in three days or over a time better suited to your lifestyle.

IKO KITEBOARDING WORK BOOK

The IKO kiteboarding workbook is included. A very helpful handbook that will be useful not only during your lessons but also in continuation of your practice on your own, it has detailed pictures and instructions on how to do your first turns, staying upwind, your first jumps and small tricks, self launching and landing, also covers aerodynamics all of which we are unable to teach you in only 8hrs. There is also a glossary with all the terms used by kiteboarders. Very handy book to have at entry level to this sport. On completion of the course you will be given the IKO Kiteboarding member card.

IKO KITEBOARDING MEMBER CARD

The IKO member card is accepted as a certification of your acquired level to enable you to rent kitesurfing equipment around the world, providing equipment information, school and instructor id numbers, level attained and status. The card also provides access to the IKO kiteboarding global insurance as well as great discounts at participating kite shops and online.
